Subjects Taught
English I Honors, English II

As a true-blooded Texan, I am proud to be an alumni of Texas A&M University.

I began my education in Anthropology in 2008, but switched majors in 2010. I finished my BA in English with a specialization in education in Spring of 2013. Gig'Em!

Before moving to North Carolina in January of 2017, I taught near Ft Hood Army base in Central Texas for four years. During that that time, I taught Honors English I and II, and Avid. I also had the opportunity to work with Avid and the International Baccualaureate program all four years. From 2015-2017 I stepped into IB as the the MYP Personal Project coordinator, and also worked closely with the district to plan lessons for other English Language Arts and Literature teachers for professional development.

Being an Army brat, I traveled alot growing up; however, I spent a majority of my life in Texas, and I while I have been all around the world, I can confidently say Texas has my heart; Its the most beautiful place in the world. As a Texan, I LOVE the Texas A&M Aggies, and America's Team- The Dallas Cowboys.

How 'Bout them Cowboys!

I came here with my husband- he is a Marine on New River in Avaiation. We have two wonderful dogs, James Dean and Vader d'Artagnan,  who keep us busy when we are not working. Teaching has given me the opportunity to work with some of the most amazing people around the U.S. I'm excited to get to know the wonderful students at Southwest! Please do not hesistate to contact with questions, concerns, or just to say "hi"!
