Graduated from Lower Richland High School in Columbia, South Carolina.

Graduated with my BA degree and a Master of Library and Information Science degree from the University of South Carolina, Columbia, South Carolina.

I taught for several years in a private school setting while living in Raleigh, NC.  I have worked as a Media Coordinator before my children were born for two years in Robeson County and since the fall of 1994 until present for Onslow County Schools.  I was first a Media Coordinator at White Oak High School and now here at Southwest High School.  I am also the NCVPS Distance Learning Advisor for our school and work closely with our Guidance department in this area.

I am from Columbia, South Carolina.  My high school graduating class was larger than the number of students in our entire high school.  After college graduation  I got married (over 31 years now) and moved to Raleigh, North Carolina six months later.  We lived in the Raleigh area for about 14 years. We eventually moved to Jacksonville where my husband is originally from.

I have two children that graduated from Southwest, one in 2004 and the other in 2005.  Lindsay finished her BS degree from UNCW and her Masters' Degree from the University of South Florida in Tampa, Fla.   She is now working for the CDC in Atlanta, Ga. Keith finished his BA degree at ECU.  My husband finished both his BS degree and Master's degree from NC State University.  I finished both my BA and Master's degree from the University of South Carolina and I am very much a "Gamecock".   We have an interesting house at times (football season) but we do all agree that Southwest is BEST!!!

I love all types of music and play the piano. I also love to sing. I help out at my church, Tar Landing Baptist, by sharing the piano responsibilities and singing solos. I enjoy playing the piano for a number of events here at Southwest.

I really enjoy our Butterfly Garden located between our building and the Art Room. It is so nice to be able to look out and see the flowers blooming and at times count the different butterflies that are there. Thank you Mr. Stallard for allowing your students (AP Environmental) to let your butterflies go in our garden. Beautiful!!
